"La
Torretta" is an old traditional Tuscan stone farmhouse built in the 19th
century around a pre-existing tower, probably medieval. The house is
composed by the main body, the tower, the barn (see the photo) for a total
of 350sqm, plus a very old water reservoir in bricks with arched
ceilings. The structure and stone work are in excellent
shape and the
renovation will not need any structural work.
The land around the Torretta has 400 olive trees which could give an output, if properly pruned and fertilized, of 4 to 6 litres of extra-vergin olive oil each. The Torretta is on the lower edge of a small hill topped by the spectacular Montecchio Castle
